Long before there was a theatre, a ballet, an opera, a dance hall, or any other art form or entertainment, there was a Circus. And long after any other form of entertainment has run its course, lost its audience or failed to appeal to the public consciousness, there will be a Circus.

The Circus, per se, is inextricably tied to the complexities of the human soul wherein exists a terrible terra incognita far beyond the constraints of linear reality, where impossible things happen that do not fit into human equations.

It is where Enoch walked with God and hundreds of white horses exist in a state of suspended animation awaiting the sound of the shofar to bring them into consciousness.

It is the quintessential space time continuum uniquely equipped to defy any attempt at co-opting the outer reaches of space as a means of controlling the inhabitants of Planet Earth.

We are unique in our ability to see through subterfuge and the smoke and mirrors of deceptive practices. We are unique though we are nevertheless vulnerable because of our humanity. We see through a glass darkly yet in seeing have become blind to the possibility that anything is impossible. We risk our lives to prove that nothing is beyond the reach of those for whom a suspension of disbelief is a way of life.

To attempt the mundane is to crush the spirit of the dare devil that dwells within us. We adhere to the principal that with God all things are possible, but we usher recklessness in our search for immortality and embrace discipline as the necessary tool of those for whom practice makes perfect. We value our lives as chosen instruments entrusted to us by the Creator who calls us to worship in spirit and truth that which is our divine destiny.

Most of us come from families with generational acclaim. We value the past accomplishments of our ancestors as one reveres that which is sacred. Our heritage is a precious resource which can never be forgotten. Occasionally, our meaning and purpose becomes obscured in a world that has no understanding of who and what we are and seeks to limit our identity to its own lack of vision.

In the recent past our identity has been debased and buried under reams of fraudulent public relations claims which have besmirched us and denied us an even playing field in life’s contest of weirdos and wills. But we are indestructible in our determination to persevere.
